Questions and Answers

CognitiveBotics provides personalized, interactive, gamified content, enabling brief and structured learning sessions (10-30 minutes daily) assigned by therapists. The application serves as a compliment to therapy- it is a platform through which parents can strengthen and extend learning that takes place at the therapy center, at home.

Your child’s therapist (from their therapy center) will send you an invitation to sign up for the application. The therapist will also assign a learning plan that is tailored to your child’s needs. Once your child is onboarded on the app, you can access the application.

As per the latest reports and scientific literature, screen time can be categorized into good and bad screen time, which varies by age. Studies from Australia identify several categories of screen time, such as social, educational, passive, interactive, and others. Educational screen time has been shown to benefit the child's educational outcomes without significant health impacts.

The content is suitable for children with a mental age of 2-6 years (physical age may be higher) and includes 11 skills and over 100 learning objectives. The content is delivered through multiple modalities, including Videos, Speech recognition, Gaze detection, Pose Detection and Animation Games. Parent training videos are also available for parents to help their child while practising the skills at home.

The application was developed to help children and parents of children with autism. It was developed keeping in mind evidence-based practices. The content on the application was developed in consultation with board certified behavior analysts and is largely based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
